Hello, I am Russell May, ABCDT. A Dog’s Direction has been my dream for 35 years. Over those years, I have trained dogs of many breeds and sizes. Positive Reinforcement and Balanced Training Techniques are used to develop good behaviors and eliminate any unwanted behaviors your dog may have picked up along their way. I believe dog obedience training starts with the person, not the dog. We will work together and you will gain an understanding of how your dog learns and will strengthen the bond you share with your dog.

Every dog is unique and deserves a personalized training plan. Developing a training plan that fits your dog's specific needs and your goals is the key to success. With that in mind, I will teach you how to mold a focused and obedient dog. Along with obedience, we will address any problems in behavior.

At A Dog‘s Direction, training is in the home. I believe in using the power of positive reinforcement paired with balanced dog training methods to achieve the highest levels of success when teaching new behaviors and commands as well as discouraging undesired behaviors. I believe that training should be enjoyable for both dog and their owner.
